The last date to apply is December 31, 2011.

•     The test will be of 3 hrs duration
•     The test paper will consists questions of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and all question will have equal weight age.
•     There will be three parts in the question paper. A,B,C, consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having equal weight age. Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks for each correct response.
•    ¼ (one forth) marks i.e. one mark will be deducted for indicating incorrect response of each question. No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question.
•     There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses given.
•     No candidate is allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, pager, mobile phone, any electronic device, etc., except the Admit Card, identity proof and pen inside the examination hall/room. Violation of this will lead to cancellation of candidature.
•     All calculations/writing work are to be done in the rough sheet provided only and on completion of the test candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.
•     Each candidate must show on demand his/her Admit Card to the Invigilator.
•     No candidate, without special permission of the Superintendent or Invigilator, should leave his/her seat.
•     The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the Board with regard to their conduct in the Examination Hall. All cases of unfair means will be dealt with as per rules and Regulations of the Board.

Ford is all set to enthrall visitors to the Expo with its all-new global vehicle and an interactive, tech-laden stand

Giving company to the 11 vehicles that Ford would be displaying at the Expo will be auto-maker’s all-new global vehicle. The next-generation Ford will take centre stage at the auto-maker’s stand, which will feature comprehensive safety and quality displays, a 3D theatre, live shows, and a crowd-sourced interactive game. The all-new global vehicle will give Ford a sure-footing in fast-growing automobile markets, including India and is slated to debut in the country by 2015.

The Ford stand will also have a fully interactive LED screen that will let visitors control a vehicle virtually using motion sensing cameras. The crowd will collectively be able to control the vehicle as it rolls along a virtual road and unlock information at each bend. The display will prompt the crowd to lean left and right during a short drive.

Ford will also have a Figo Theatre which would let people sit inside the car and watch a short film explaining Figo’s smart technologies played on a plasma screen in front of the windscreen. A 3D theatre will have guests navigate a virtual car under the guidance of a Ford engineer. A touch table will let visitors touch and feel the quality of materials used in Ford cars while a green touch table will show the value of Ford’s green technology, delivering on Ford’s commitment to provide low cost ownership.

Ford is also expected to announce the pricing of the all-new Fiesta automatic version, touted to deliver 9% better fuel economy. A Fiesta body shell will also be on display giving visitors an opportunity to discover the engineering features that make the Fiesta safe on road. Completing the line-up would be models from Ford’s existing fleet such as the Figo, Fiesta Classic and the Endeavour.

CMAT Registration window opens on December 9 for online registration of candidates, while the CMAT exams will be conducted from February 20 to 28, 2012 across 61 cities.

Based on a judgment of the Supreme Court of India, the AICTE in order to reduce the burden of students in attending to multiple examinations is launching this first national level admission test for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in management programs approved by the Council for the academic year 2012-13.

The national level test will be conducted for nine days in two shifts. CMAT will be a computer-based test for three hours duration. CMAT scores will help students seek admissions in all management programmes (4 lakh seats) in AICTE approved institutions/ university departments.

The question paper will comprise of Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness with 25 questions in each section. While each correct answer carries four marks, each wrong answer will carry one negative marking.

The last date for registration is January 9, 2012, while the printouts of hall tickets will be available from January 30, 2012. The test for the first shift starts from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, while the second shift starts from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The results will be declared on March 11, 2012 and the printout of the scorecards will be available from March 11, 2012 to April 11, 2012.

According to AICTE, the respective secretaries of the state dealing with technical education and vice chancellors of the universities have been requested to advise the competent authority for admissions in their respective states and jurisdiction to use the scores of CMAT-2012 for allotment of students in the AICTE approved management institutions for academic year 2012-13.

The initiative has been taken to address the issue of physical, mental and financial stress being imposed on the students through number of entrance examinations being followed by the institutions for admission into management programmes.
