Lisa Ray was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare kind of cancer of the white blood cells in year 2009. After treatment for it about a year, she had confirmed she had beaten the disease. She had a stem cell transplant for curing of it.
Lisa made her Bollywood debut with 'Kasoor' movie in year of 2001, and later received rave reviews for her performance in movie 'Water' directed by Deepa Mehta.
